Featuring polo training and competition for all riding abilities BG Ocala Polo Club is one of the area’s only center dedicated to learning and playing this exciting sport. Led by International Argentine polo veteran Marcos Bignoli our club is located in the newly-renovated Florida Horse Park, adjacent to BG Polo & Equestrian Resort where Bignoli also oversees the equestrian and riding programs.
“Our goal is to make this fun and exciting sport accessible to adults and children with our customized training and competition programs,” said Bignoli. “As one of the area’s only centers for polo our goal is to be the local leader in education, training and events.”
Bignoli has played professionally throughout England, Spain, Dominican Republic, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Canada, Ireland, Barbados, Italy, Dubai, England, Scotland, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. As captain of Vancouver International Polo owned by BG Capital Group Chairman Bobby Genovese, Bignoli led the team to numerous wins including the prestigious 20 Goal Canadian Open and Boca Raton Florida’s 22 goal Sunshine league. Bignoli is also instrumental in the teaching and tournament programs for Capitol Polo Club, the Washington D.C. area’s fastest growing polo club located in Montgomery County, Maryland. He is director of the club’s annual Green Cup (www.GREENCUPPOLO.com), which has raised money for several environmental and alternate energy organizations since it’s inception in 2007. He has organized, created and built several polo clubs, polo schools and polo fields throughout the world including the Nation’s Capital Polo School at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington DC. He is the founder of several clubs including his own, International Polo Development in Pilar, Argentina.
